Hi Pat, imagine this? I could venture a guess, it's someone who spells poorly . Having worked 18 hours straight, I need to sleep, hope your car is running good, Mike

Boy... Things sure have become weird around here!

I'm glad the Deville is in fine shape!

No, one individual does not make it weird. Its obviously a person that is illiterate and one that is unable to present his or her case in a well thought out organized fashion, and has resorted to sniper attacks.... We have seen this before.

Geez, I had to go to Denver 22nd & 23rd and it sounds like all hell broke loose. What did I miss? I searched back but couldn't find anything.

It was wiped clean, but suffice it to say that someone questioned my sexual preference  They posed as Pat and told me that they hate me.. This type of stuff happens once in a while and while its amuzing, I am beginning not to pay it much attention.

Pat's warranty issue and her manner of dealing with it was quite an emotional topic and I had a strong opinion on it, it was never personal nor did I doubt that Pat had a problem. When I make a statement I try to make a statement with support, granted I will make mistakes and I will put my tail between my legs and admit it. But during that thread, I spoke to three Cadillac dealers to get their opinion on it and to see how they would respond and what their responsibilities were. One of those dealers my parents purchased their 1955 Fleetwood from and I still am friends with the owner, they are the best. So my opinions were supported by research so while I was appearing to be ridgid and insensitive to some, my opinion 1) did not change from the beginning, 2) was not based on emotion or how bad I felt for Pat's situation and 3) was based on much discussion with dealer owners and service managers.

Having played college basketball and sports my entire life winning by cheating is a hollow win with no glory in my opinion, what is the point to winning that way? I have a big problem with tearing down something, somebody to something to get what I want, because how do I feel when I succeed? Like I beat the 'system' or got over on the big bad corporation, how does that make me feel? The corporation GM did the right thing and I for one was proud that they did, they could have just said sorry, if you did have a warranty (which you don't) it ran out on time reasons (4-years) plus you are beyond the second owner, so we don't have to help you and we won't! That it has 35,000 miles on it is not our concern to us badmouth us all you want we are within our legal responsibility. But they paid 50%.

Sorry for the rant, and I do not want to dig this up again, but what surprised me was the amount of support there was for Pat's approach. And lets not forget that her approach included this > http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff132545.htm which still lives!

I am strong about my convictions and will listen to anything but the "get GM to pay 100%" group were angry and were unable to give support for why GM should pay 100% besides it was unfair that at 35,000 miles there was a crack, not knowing the actual history of the car! Hell the car could have been up north and FROZE and cracked, or someone could have poured COLD water into a hot engine, but GM was suppose to pay 100% regardless! 4-years or 50,000 miles whatever comes first, if you have the warranty...... but GM paid 50%, hooray GM!

Even more of a laugh were the individuals that said that GM admitted guilt because they paid 50% (victims hang onto anything). Then there was the know-it-all that said the engine cooked itself to death because of Dexcool, please, go review a toaster now!

You know what, opinions vary but opinions are more valid if they are supported with facts. I'm not here to make friends I am here because I love Cadillac/GM and to provide and get help that is based on facts and experience, nothing more. Maybe we should create a section for people to go who want someone to blow smoke up their asses and to tell them what they want to hear.

Hey Scotty,

You look great, .....lost a few pounds, got some "Grecian" formula going, and I really like the Brylcreme look..., it must be convenient to have grease within reach at all times...

I have been working out at Golds Gym, thanks!

You are so right Scotty about my complaint being an emotional thead..

I was so upset, i didnt know what to do or how to act...

I had to handle this situation alone, and really i didnt know s### from Shinola

when it comes to them talking car language..i didnt know coolant from gas..but

i have learned a lot since then..and yes i do, know what gas is, but thats about

all i know about a car..its not me scotty that is writing this ugly stuff about

you, i have no reason to do this whatsoever, and when i do say something

out of line, i dont hesitate to use my own handle..this was a sicko, just trying

to get things stirred up again, obviously, they enjoyed the post...but i have

no intention of repeating them...thanks, and rest assured its not me..

Pat I want you to know that my intent above was not to upset you, highlight your situation or to dig it up. I think you can see I can be passionate about things also, no big deal.

I did feel bad for you and that your experience with a 2000 Caddy, one that I wish I could afford, was not good. After what happened last night however, I needed to reiterate my feelings so that it my intentions were more clearly understood. I can fully understand how upset you were. I would have died... But that does not change the facts.

So what do you like the best about your car? Does it have a CD player? Heated/Cooled seats? Post a photo of it, if you don't have digital, take a conventional photo and have it put on a CD then you can post it.. Mike

scotty, i love all of the car, its the taupe color, with white leather interior..

yes it has a tape player, and if it has heated seats i dont know about it..

it has 2 heaters and a/c one for the front and one for the back, my 1989

eldorado did not have this feature..

it has power, you would not believe, and its gets around 25 gal per the hr.

which is good, i think..

i love the way it handles...its easy to park, easy to see, because it is so

short, and the ,ride, there is nothing like it..

i dont have a pic right now and i do have a digital cam, so ill post a pic

one of these days..

my mom is 84 years old, and she cant believe how comfortable this car it,

its easy for her to get in and out and she can ride forever, and not get tired..

when this car is freshly cleaned and waxed, its so pretty..

im sorry , this was opened up again, because i see a person (PAT) that is not

her self at all..

she was down right nasty in some of her replies..in fact, irate..and im so sorry

i portrayed a person of this nature..but i have to get over this, and prove myself

to this board, which im trying so hard to do, and then the nut came on using my

name, which didnt help matters at all..anyway, i love my car, just love it, and i

do appreciate the help GM gave to me...i know they didnt owe me one red dime

and didnt have to help me at all, but they did, and i have graciously written a

letter of thanks to them...and id like to thank all of you that endured the long

suffering...thanks again
