Gene
Hello On my 93 Eldorado the twilight sentinel feature started acting up. on my way to work in the morning the lights would just shut off and it was still dark! I was thinking the sensor was bad and was going to replace it. But today while changing the oil i was checking all my lites and noticed a burned out fog lamp. so i replaced the bulb and checked the rest out and all is OK till i turn off the headlite switch manually. as i crawl under the car to finish my oil change i notice the fog lamps are still on. So i check this out and sure enough the only way i can turn them off is with the little push button on the head lite switch panel. Do i have another bad headlite switch? Last time the headlite switch was bad the car was losing the drivers side parking lites and all the interior lights plus a IO22 fault if i remember correctly. So what do the experts think? Bill K
If you had the key on and the fog lights turned on the lights will be on. Key off and fog lights turned on the fogs will be off. You might have had the key on.
Gene
Thanks Bill I did have the key off. Thats whats confusing about the problem. Since the problem with the Twilight Sential shutting off i have had the switch turned off and have been turning the head lites on and off manually but have not had the fog lamps turned on. The fog lamps will still work with the key removed, the headlites are turned off/switch pushed in and the Twilight Sential is switched off the fog lamps are still ON unless i deactivate the fog lamp switch on the head lite panel. Something is going on here! Thanks Gene
