Opinion: Why do V6 Timing Chains Fail?

In this video Pete's Garage goes over why the GM High Feature V6 timing chains have failures. That's right, they're not just junk. There's a reason they fail!

Thanks Bruce.  I've seen this one before but watched it again.  Some very good information and advice to be heeded.  I've always kept my oil changes under what the oil life monitor suggested and have never had this stretching issue.  I've had the 3.6 in three flavors; in my '06 STS (LY7), '11 STS (LLT), 17 XT5 (LGX) and currently in my CT6 '19 (LGX).  Fingers crossed but don't think I'm going to have the problem.
