I've always kept my oil changes under what the oil life monitor suggested and have never had this stretching issue. I've had the 3.6 in three flavors; in my '06 STS (LY7), '11 STS (LLT), 17 XT5 (LGX) and currently in my CT6 '19 (LGX). Fingers crossed but don't think I'm going to have the problem.
