Dadillac
Well, I have heard that the top speed for an SLS, was 105 mph. So, I just had to find out for myself. I was driving to work this morning, on the NJTP, between exits 10 and 7A. I decided, since I had some open highway, to see what it would do. I slammed the peddle down, and quickly approached 105 mph. As soon as it neared 105, I let off, and with astonishment, it went to 107 mph. So, I slammed it again, and it didn't cut off, until 112 mph. That is the fastest I have been in a car, and was surprised how stable the SLS is at speed. I just had to tell someone. Don "Modern warriors saddle iron horses of chrome." Bob D
Your SLS is really capable of a good deal more…probably 140ish mph. It’s all about what rating the tires have that were installed at the factory. If I remember correctly, the ‘S’ rated will computer cutoff at 112, the ‘H’ at 130, and the ‘Z’ rated STS at 155mph.
