Keep in mind that the engine and transmission operate as a single unit, the PCM looks for specific data from sensors like ABS, traction control, cam, crank, etc. Why do you want to do this? The problem is, you need the 5.3 PCM to operate the powertrain ,but that PCM can't communicate with the rest of the vehicle.
