wayne vp Posted January 14, 2018 Report Share Posted January 14, 2018 i got a flat tire yesterday and it was 11# degrees and the road was uneven so the jack started to bend to the right and then i got done and the jack is stuck in the little opening in the metal. i stood on it and hit it ,then i lowered it all the way and just drove home . i still cant get it off. Bruce Nunnally Posted January 14, 2018 Report Share Posted January 14, 2018 I suspect the correct answer is to strike the jack several times sharply with a mallet, being careful not to further damage the jack (or the Cadillac). What I did (not recommended) in a similar situation is carefully drive the Cadillac over a curb, trapping the jack attached below the car against the curb and thus prying it loose.
