rockfangd Posted August 16, 2018 Report Share Posted August 16, 2018 Ohm that red wire . Should be 0 ohms, or close to it. Between battery + and alternator. There should be a fusible link in that cable and it could very likely be blown if it shorted out. I would count on that. So the alternator is likely putting out because you are not getting a message, but I bet it is not outputing from the red wire. While the engine is running test the stud on the alt for output.
