Good. Check fuel pressure and spark. Here is what your coils look like, it is COP, you check for spark using the device illustrated in the YouTube video above https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/cadillac,2007,srx,3.6l+v6,1433653,ignition,ignition+coil,7060 Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm

It has coil packs. I'm not real comfortable going this deep by myself. The test looks simple, its just the getting to it. I'll show the neighbor this weekend and see what level of comfort he has with this. I agree with what you are saying about must do the tests to know. No, those aren't really considered coil packs....if you ask me, coil packs in my mind started in 2000 and they covered a bank. Those are individual coils, you have 6. That is exactly what I showed you at the rockauto link Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm

BravoSierra
Update: Wife usurped me and had it towed. Mechanic went through everything and could not figure it out either. So he started from the beginning with the simple stuff. Loose connector on the ecm. Didn't know it until he took off every connector and snapped them all back in. Runs fine now. I just wiggled them in, but taking off and putting them back did it. Either that or the fixed it for me for nearly nothing.
