Quadrasteer Posted February 21, 2005 Report Share Posted February 21, 2005 I have a '99 Deville that has recently been losing coolant. When I look underneath the left side, on top of the chassis under the water pump is wet. On the right side, the bottom of the chassis is wet from front to rear. Is there a way that I could pinpoint the source? It's hard to rinse it down with water in the cold temps, mabye I could bring it to a car wash and ckeck it before driving away. Also the last time that I filled the resevoir there was some foam with small bubbles in it and muck all over the cap that had never been there before Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Ranger Posted February 21, 2005 Report Share Posted February 21, 2005 If it's wet on both sides, you may have 2 leaks. Move the intake duct out of the way and run your fingers under the edge of the water pump cover. That gasket is known to leak and has been redesigned.
