Never drive your BMW in the rain...

Irritated Owner wrote on the DFWAutoClub forums:

A friend had water leak into the adaptive headlight of his '07 335i, from the recent torrential rainstorm we suffered, and short-circuit the adaptive headlight & xenon modules...causing the warning light & bell to stay on...irritating to say the least. BMW North America says the car is out of warranty and that they will not cover it as, as a good-will gesture, because rain is considered an "outside influence"!!! (it's an act of God for crying out loud!)
