No, you may or may not ever have a head bolt issue with it. How is your Allante doing so far? Logan
Any engine that uses a aluminum engine block can have pulled head bolts in the block. The Toyota 2.4L engine has a very common problem with head bolts pulling. On Northstars, there are 3 Time-Sert kits available. There are also Kent Moore kits available. The KM kits use Time-Sert tooling, but are incomplete (by design) and need parts from other KM kits to perform repairs. J-42385-500 is used on blocks up thru 1999. J-42385-2000 is used on blocks 2000 to 2003. J-42385-2030 is used on 2004 and newer blocks. All 3 Northstar kits are available on a rental basis. Kits for Toyotas are also available for rental.
