I went to look at a 1993 doner car to help keep mine on the road longer and save on parts. The car is dark blue mine is white but my main concern is that my spedo is digital well the doner car is analog so my concern is will the BCM and PCM interchange

The BCM and PCM have PROM (programmable read only memory) units that you will have to swap from the donor car BCM & PCM to the keeper.

If memory serves me correctly there are NOT a lot of differences in the actual BCM/PCM as long as they are the same model, for example Deville - Seville - Eldorado.

Contact a dealership parts department and verify the part number choices though, just to be sure.

Also I believe the digital and analog clusters were just an option and usually GM only uses one harness that has all the connectors so you could even swap those too, don't know why you would do that unless you had a failure though. I've never done an I/P cluster swap like that so the whole BCM would probably have to be switched and the prom left intact.

Just my opinion but if I am going to buy a donor car I'd make it the same color inside and out, cuz sure as heck you'll need something and you'll want it to be the same color.

THERE IS ALWAYS ENOUGH TIME TO DO THE JOB RIGHT - THERE IS NEVER ENOUGH TIME TO DO THE JOB AGAIN !!!

In order to help answer your question a model would help.

The Deville in 1993 was not like the eldo or seville.

It is always good to have a donor car.

I got it home and have it ready to put up on the hoist to document a useable parts list

No need to turn green the lift is to help with old age. I have to admit it is one of the best things I have put in the shop and it is good to help out others with small issues. I will try to get the doner up on it and try to post a pic
