wfpd39
Ok, this is a new one to me. Today I started my '99 STS, and the info center told me 'Speed limited to 90 MPH'. Now, I work and live in the city, not a big deal today, but, I know Greg will want to know what I did! Any clues????
adallak
pretty wfpd39, Your car stored some trouble codes. Press On and Warmer simultaneously for a few seconds and take down the codes from the Driver Informaton Center. I believe there is nothing Greg would kill you for. danbuc
that message means there is something wrong with the suspension, or ride control system (sensors and what not). The codes will tell you exactly what is wrong. Good Luck.
wfpd39
Ok, I pulled the codes. I had to hit the INFO up button. What I got was U1255, PROM ID 7208, U1064, P1611. Did someone sink my battle ship?
JimD
The only one that might be of concern is P1611 - Loss of CVRTD Serial Data. Clear the codes and see what comes back. Jim Drive your car. Use your cell phone. CHOOSE ONE !
wfpd39
Ok, I'll bite. What is "CVRTD Serial Data"?
JimD
CVRTD would be Continuously Variable Real Time Damping. The DTC means the CVRTD serial line from the Continuously Variable Road Sensing Suspension (CVRSS) to the PCM is (or was) invalid or absent. Jim Drive your car. Use your cell phone. CHOOSE ONE !
