Bruce Nunnally Posted May 18, 2016 Report Share Posted May 18, 2016 Smitty's owner Chris Smith told us that the car's owner, Bob Hanline, came to the shop in Tiffin, Ohio, with a few simple expectations for his 1959 Cadillac Eldorado. He wanted the car restored to brand-new beauty. He wanted it to be street worthy, since he intended to climb in and drive it to work on nice days. Finally, he wanted an electronic fuel-injected engine under the massive hood, to provide the classic Caddy with up-to-date performance. An easy order for the team at Smitty's, but after an initial inspection, they discovered that the car was in bad enough shape to require getting a donor car. A well-suited candidate was found and the project of blending two Cadillacs into one commenced.
