cmcswe11
Hej!
-- Click Here for CaddyInfo page on "How To" Read Your OBD Codes-- Click Here for my personal page to download my OBD code list as an Excel file, plus other Cadillac data -- See my CaddyInfo car blogs: 2011 CTS-V, 1997 ETC Yes, I was Jims_97_ETC before I changed cars. cmcswe11
Thank you Jim! For sure my voltage drop down below 9v when I start. I have an old battery now. Do you think it will help to get a newer one to solve my issue?
Cadillac Jim
First, be sure and check your battery cables, particularly between the spades in the positive terminal. If the battery drops below 9 Volts, it's either discharged or about to fail any minute. If putting a good trickle charger on it overnight doesn't get your battery back in shape, you should get a new one. If the battery voltage drops below 9 Volts, several modules will throw a code that tells the system that they may not operate properly during startup. Modules will drop codes, throw spurious codes, or even lock up if the battery voltage drops below 9 Volts.
