BodybyFisher
Bruce was Michael Cooper known before the CTS-v challenge?, or was that his breakout? Bruce Nunnally
The Challenge was in 2009. Cooper was a student at NYIT at the time. Prior to the challenge he attended Skip Barber Racing Academy. Michael posted: "I did the skip barber 3 day course last summer and then the 2 day course at the end of the summer/fall. Other than that Ive ran 2 skip barber races and tracked my previous z06 twice, Had never been on the track in the M3."See http://www.m3post.com/forums/showpost.php?p=6127001&postcount=165 Quote Bruce 2016 Cadillac ATS-V gray/black Follow me on: Twitter Instagram Youtube
Bruce Nunnally
Of note, Michael Cooper, the GT championship points leader coming into Long Beach did not post a qualifying time due to an engine breathing issue with his No. 8 Cadillac Racing Cadillac ATS-V.R. http://www.motorsport.com/pwc/news/parente-takes-pole-for-kpax-mclaren-687857/ Quote Bruce 2016 Cadillac ATS-V gray/black Follow me on: Twitter Instagram Youtube

Bruce Nunnally
Johnny O’Connell has been stripped of his victory in Sunday’s Pirelli World Challenge race on the streets of Long Beach due to a technical infringement determined post-race. O’Connell’s Cadillac ATS-V.R was found to have exceeded its allowed boost levels in the race, which has promoted Alvaro Parente to the race winner. http://sportscar365.com/gt/world-challenge/oconnell-penalized-for-overboost-parente-inherits-win/ Cooper charged through the grid but then went out after rising to 4th Quote Bruce 2016 Cadillac ATS-V gray/black Follow me on: Twitter Instagram Youtube
Bruce Nunnally
The boost tables and allowed boost per GT3 rules are complicated. This 2015 rule set shows the pressure BAR to PSI conversion limits: http://www.world-challenge.com/images/bulletins/Appendix-A-GT-Ver-92.pdf with ATS-VR limits in 2015 as follows: and this 2016 update impacts allowed boost: https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=7&ved=0ahUKEwjk4q2E5ZbMAhWMSCYKHRVMCk4QFghDMAY&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.fia.com%2Ffile%2F38840%2Fdownload%3Ftoken%3DaBcuWQ8-&usg=AFQjCNEfn7Y9nKF_y4ZVHFVZyw4zR8d8sA&sig2=QEPujj-EjgkIhapNMLRE0w&cad=rja I think together these say the ATS-VR is allowed: 1.78 at 8000 or just over 26 PSI of boost in 2015, raised to 1.81 at 8000 rpm in 2016, or 27 PSI, with varying limits at each RPM. The teams are responsible for adjusting to local conditions. Bruce Nunnally
O’Connell offered this up after the race, about the penalty: “In post-race tech they found we had a few boost spikes that were not to their liking,” he said. “From what I understand these were when we were in traction control situations, so not a speed advantage at all. But rules are rules. A second place finish does not take away from the accomplishment of Cadillac Racing today. I am proud of the team.” Read more: http://motorsports.nbcsports.com/2016/04/17/redemption-for-oconnell-in-pwcs-return-to-long-beach/ Quote Bruce 2016 Cadillac ATS-V gray/black Follow me on: Twitter Instagram Youtube
