Paul S+
The outside mirror on the drivers side of my '99 sts looks like an etch-a-sketch gone wild. My state inspector who's OK I need to renew my license plates is not amused with it. Rock Auto has a replacement part of GM 1323318 but they don't specify if this is electrochromatic. Does anyone recognize this part no. and could tell me? Also, I am wondering what adhesive one would use to attach the mirror. Thank you for any help. Cadillac Jim
Electrochromatic driver's side mirrors are standard for that car. The only option is memory mirrors. The mirror housing has to be disassembled to replace the mirror, which is four-way electric, and the new mirror bolts in. Sometimes third-party parts don't meet OEM specs. -- Click Here for CaddyInfo page on "How To" Read Your OBD Codes-- Click Here for my personal page to download my OBD code list as an Excel file, plus other Cadillac data -- See my CaddyInfo car blogs: 2011 CTS-V, 1997 ETC Yes, I was Jims_97_ETC before I changed cars.
