ABS light and traction control light

Hey Guys

While driving in heavy traffic today my ABS brake light and my Traction control light came on at the same time.I have a 96 Eldorado ETC with 117k miles on her. I was told last month by the dealership that i needed rear brakes replaced, but didn't give it much thought as they told me several things that i needed ,that i knew were not true.can it be that the rear brakes can effect the traction control, and if i have them repaced will that solve my problem? I can use all the help i can get on this. Thanks,Jon

Take the wheel off and look at the brake, pay attention to the speed sensor since it sends a signal to the units responsible for ABS and traction control.

The saddest thing in life is wasted talent

Follow adillac instructions, if that checks out ok look at the wheel bearings. If one is going bad that is the symptom you will get. Also check for brake fluid leaks that might affect the sensors.

Also note, a high pressure tranny fluid leak can get on the sensors.
