Bruce Nunnally
USA Today's STS review: http://www.usatoday.com/money/autos/review...12-16-sts_x.htm • Back seat. Seems tight, even though Cadillac claims a generous 38.3 inches of rear legroom. "We're doing continuous improvement on both visual and actual comfort in back. We're working on a couple of things with the rear seat" that will be running changes during the '05 model year, says Mark Meyers, vehicle performance manager for STS. He wouldn't be more specific. Ed Hall
In rear-drive models, the V-8 surprisingly uses less gas than the V-6, government tests say. I find this interesting.
Dasher
I tried it out again Wednesday and "TIGHT" is definitely the right word for the back seat. While driving, I adjusted the front seat so it was comfortable. Iam about 5'11" and like to sit fairly close to the wheel. When I then got in the back seat behind the driver's seat, there was definitely a lot less room than in my 2000 STS in spite of what they say. I thought I might treat myself to a new one as an Xmas present; but I just can't bring myself to do it. My concerns: 1. RWD 2. "TIGHT" back seat 3. Small trunk 4. And I don't like the fact that you can pay from $40k to $69k all for something called an STS and nobody knows which one you're driving.
