1993 Eldorado transmission problems

Recommended Posts

You could start by running the OBD codes and see if there are any transmission diagnostics.

Without the codes, the only thing that I can think of are low fluid (you probably checked that long ago) and sticking shift solenoids.

If you drained the transmission and replaced the lost fluid, that might help with the stuck solenoids.

Sorry... thought you had a 4t80e. I wonder if you have a sticking piston in the lower valve body, worn seals or hydraulic leak until the unit warms up and seals the leak .

i believe your loosing fluid pressure through your intermediate clutch housing and or seals. Once the seals warm up it seals the leak.
