oregonk5
I have a 1995 Deville base model. The dash HVAC blower works intermittently...usually at the worst possible time! I've had the same problem on my other 1995 Deville and a blower motor fixed the problem. However.... I noticed today that Rockauto and Autozone both show a blower motor resistor for this car with automatic temp control. However, Alldata shows no resistor and really the only parts are the fuse, blower motor or Climate Control Computer. Is Rockauto calling the CCC a resistor? I know these cars were known to have problems with melting on the blower motor connections but mine appears to be in good shape. Alldata does show a blower motor resistor for the rear fan so maybe that's what Rockauto is talking about?
KHE
The resistor is for the rear fan control. I don't remember when the blower control module was incorporated into the blower motor itself. I know for sure for the 1996 model year but do not know if it was also integrated in the 1994 and 1995 model years.
