The top ten in qualifying are

  1. Nick Mancuso(A)/Chicago/IL R.Ferri Motorsports/Ferrari 458 GT3
  2. Anthony Lazzaro/Atlanta/GA R.Ferri Motorsports/Ferrari 458 GT3 Italia
  3. Mike Skeen/Charlotte/NC Hawk Performance/Audi R8 Ultra
  4. Robert Thorne/Littleton/CO K-PAX Racing/McLaren 12C GT3
  5. Andrew Palmer/Chicago/IL GMG Racing/Audi R8 Ultra
  6. Alex Figge/Denver/COK-PAX Racing/McLaren 12C GT3
  7. Andy Pilgrim/Boca Raton/FL Cadillac Racing/Cadillac CTS-V R
  8. Johnny O Connell/Flowery Branch/GA Cadillac Racing/Cadillac CTS-V R
  9. James Sofronas/Villa Park/CA Spyder/The Thermal Club/Audi R8 Ultra
  10. Tim Bergmeister/Langfeld Germany/ EFFORT Racing/Porsche GT3R

This is a fast track and the exotics are favored. Among the 19 qualifiers, there are only two non-Cadillac cars that aren't exotics, a Mercedes AMG SLS GT3 (maybe an exotic, I don't know) as 14th and a SRT Viper GT3R in 19th. The fastest lap time for the Cadillacs are a full second slower time than that for the pole position Ferrari. It looks like we may have a points problem on this track this year.

An amazing performance by Team Cadillac. There isn't another car adapted from a generally available street car in the race, but Cadillac did quite well and leads the manufacturer's points. O'Conell is second in driver points and Pilgrim is third. The guy leading the driver's points is Anthony Lazarro, who drives a Ferrari 458 GT3 Italia, and won the second race Sunday.
