Passing is very difficult on that course. The exotics are not favored, as the course surface has cambers and rough spots and is not banked, as is common in city street road race courses. We will see.

In practice, O'Connell has the best time. Pilgrim is 8th, behind three Ferraris, two Audi R8s, and a McLauren. The closest usual competition is behind a bunch of other exotics. Volvo is nowhere to be seen; it appears that most of the competition from previous years does not have the stomach to compete with the exotics. It looks good for Cadillac.

O'Connell stalled waiting for the start at St. Petersburg and never caught the leaders, leaving Pilgrim to fight it out with the fastest Lamorghini alone. Something was amis with O'Connell's car because it qualified eighth at St. Petersburg.

This time it's different. The Cadillacs are 1 and 2 in the starting lineup. The rest of the lineup seems to be all exotics except the Cadillacs and a line Viper. One might argue that the Audi R8 or the Porsche GT3R are not exotics, and they are sold through dealerships in some volume, and there are a few of those in there. And, there is a Viper, which isn't an exotic.

For a good time, check out the starting grid PDF file:

The race times:

The lap chart:

http://www.world-challenge.com/images/events/14-LB-Chart1-GT.pdf

It was O'Connell-Pilgrim all the way, 32 laps. The race ran for a timed 45 minutes (caution not included), after which the checkered flag came out. A Ferrari 458 GT3 Italia ran third all the way but never got quite close enough to Pilgrim to attempt a pass. Eight cars broke the existing lap record during the race. Fastest lap was by a McLauren 12C GT3, which ran fourth for the first eight laps.
