I dont remember the numbers off hand but for the most part it goes

96-97 devil Deville, seville, eldo, and catera (to 2001)

98-99 deville, seville, eldo

2000-02 deville, seville, eldo.

To my knowledge there is only one remote number for each remote available after the 96-97 remotes.

other remotes, although may look identical have different internals.

I hope this helps. I cannot find the exact list at the moment but I have a list that covers numbers and applications.

Best of luck to you

I would poke around in the car's computer and see if the hooks for the fob programming are still there. I found that my wife's 1999 Grand Am could not program the fob without a scan tool because it didn't have a touch-screen radio, which Pontiac uses for computer access. But, I found that any good locksmith will have a special scan tool for programming fobs and the charge is about the same as the charge for re-keying a lock.
