Cadillac Jim
This problem doesn't need $100+ per hour Goodwrench technicians. You need to have a good body shop look at this for you. And, your car is out of warranty. Some body shops feel that they must bill an insurance company and will give you a form to sign to allow that. Do NOT sign such a form unless your insurance agent assures you that the repair is covered under your policy, which is about as likely as the Queen of England having a butt tattoo. When we need something fixed on the body, like a cracked windshield, we ask our insurance agent who they use, and they give us a list (their policy doesn't allow recommending a single vendor). We pick one and get the job done without mentioning the insurance company, except when we pick up the car and are done writing the check, when we tell who recommended them. -- Click Here for CaddyInfo page on "How To" Read Your OBD Codes-- Click Here for my personal page to download my OBD code list as an Excel file, plus other Cadillac data -- See my CaddyInfo car blogs: 2011 CTS-V, 1997 ETC Yes, I was Jims_97_ETC before I changed cars. jrose7004
My drain on the passenger side came loose again and this time I took it to the dealer now that GM is recognizing the problem. It's covered under warranty in some regions but of course not in my region. I paid the dealer to replace the old drain tube with a longer one and it the recall is ever extended to my region, I will be reimbursed.
