Christian Shawn Bledsoe Posted February 27, 2014 Report Share Posted February 27, 2014 Just put a new battey in my deville and ordered a used IPC because mine is defective...I came home today to my caddy that i didnt drive and my trunk and gas cap had opened by itself...needless to say the trunk and gas buttons inside dont work..plus my new battey was completly drained!!! winterset Posted February 27, 2014 Report Share Posted February 27, 2014 You have a short. It's not uncommon for the trunk and gas door to open when the battery runs down. We have seen this before on this forum. No need to call ghostbusters but you need to track down the cause of the short. Start by pulling fuses with a voltmeter.
