Paul S
I thought I read on one of the post that 2005 was the last year you could access the codes from the DIC. If this is true, how do you access the codes on a post 2005 vehicle.
JimD
Cadillac discontinued the DTC display after 2004 for Seville and 2005 for Deville when those two badges were discontinued. Now you need an external (aftermarket) code display interface box. MOST of those external boxes are limited to displaying "P" codes. Quote Jim Drive your car. Use your cell phone. CHOOSE ONE ! Bruce Nunnally
Ask OnStar! Or HPTuners or other aftermarket tuner, or as Jim notes any external code reader. I agree I preferred onboard diagnostics. Quote Bruce 2016 Cadillac ATS-V gray/black Follow me on: Twitter Instagram Youtube

Go by AutoZone or any of the chain parts retailers... their machine can read engine codes and a few (very few) others, but they can not read chassis codes and several other classes of codes.
