'Driving Cadillacs in our dreams': Pop artists add to brand's cachet

GM’s luxury brand is getting a shot of free PR and youth appeal thanks to a couple of current pop songs that extol the mystique of Cadillacs.

In the ultra-catchy, beat-heavy “Royals,” New Zealand teenager Lorde describes an urban life where money is tight, but talk of status symbols is rampant. Along with Cristal sparkling wine, diamond-studded watches and “tigers on a gold leash,” she sings of “driving Cadillacs in our dreams.”
