chuckgann
I had the same problem, it was the sockets as mentioned in the posts that you can link to from teh previous post. I went ahead and replace all 6 sockets (the ones that hold the dual filiment 1157 bulb) Since I did that they work perfectly. I got all 6 from gmpartsdirect for around $50. Scotty
Have you tried replacing the flasher?
KHE
Have you tried replacing the flasher? If only the right side is acting up, I wouldn't suspect the flasher. Good Kevin, I was thinking that it was possible that the flasher worked independently for the left and right these days.

cadillacjeff7777
I am just warning you, do not buy the replacement sockets from a local parts store that is selling aftermarket parts. Shame on me, I tried replacing a socket with one from Autozone. It was listed for the car, even looked right, but the bulb would not seat in it properly (seemed loose) and would loose contact intermitently. I replaced it with another one from Autozone and had the same problem. It pays to get one from GM. 2008 DTS

an01sts
Scotty, your suggestion is a good one. If the bimetallic strip that open and closes the circut, is starting to fail, the description you post is a text book example of a failing blinker canister. You can start out by hacking into your wires if that's the way you want to address the problem, but if I were doing it, a blinker canister would be my first replacment part.
