JohnB01
Can anyone help me with these codes from my 01 DeVille, IPM: B0429, PCM: P0443, AND SDM: B0065. I know that the P0443 is tough because I have replaced both purge valves(the one on the engine and the one located on left side of frame by the left rear tire), and the pressure valve on the fuel pump, checked the line from the vapor canister to the purge valve on the engine for a leak, so I guess it must be electrical. My question is does anyone know where the most likely place this short is usually located. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance to all: JohnB01
Logan
P0443- Chances are the purge valve has gone 'open'. It is mounted near the throttle body. B0429- Air door actuator. It can be replaced by removing the glove box bucket. B0065- Drivers seat belt pretensioner- Chances are the wiring connector has a coke or some other material spilled on it. It is the actual buckle part of the drivers seat belt. JohnB01
Logan, thanks for your response, but I have replaced the purge valve so maybe I will test it to be sure that that is not the problem, again thanks for your response: JohnB01
Logan
Service manual does have a pic....#3 should be the purge valve near the EGR and throttle body. JohnB01
Thanks for the pic, but that is the valve I changed #3, also when I used a vacuum pump I kept the hose connected to the purge valve and it held vacuum so that makes me think that the valve is working, so now I will try some electrical testing, I was just wondering where would be the best place to start checking.
