Paul S
I am going to go look at a 2004 XLR this weekend. I was wondering what year did Cadillac get the head gasket problems resolved on the Northstar engine.
Göran W
The last HG improvement came with the model year 2004!
Bruce Nunnally
For the 2004 XLR I would concentrate on smooth operation of the top -- watch it go up and down several times. From what I have read, the sensors are a bit complex and have to be well understood if adjustments are needed. Paul S
Glad to hear the HG issues had been resolved by that time. Also thanks for the advice I will carefully watch the top move in both directions. It sort of puts me in mind of the old '57 Ford Skyliner. I understand that was loaded with limit switch problems that could be a bear to trouble shoot when it got out of whack. Göran W
Did You count the number of relayes behind the rear seat on the Skyliner? Thank heaven I did not have any trouble with my old --59!
