If the Cadillac ATS ever looks a little weary, give it a break: It has plenty of corporate stress to shoulder.

Tasked with refreshing the customer base (read: lower the buyer’s median age) of the crest-and-wreath club, it must also wage battle with the Europeans at the same time.
Targeted against one Teutonic vehicle in particular – the BMW 3-Series - it could be the perfect personal performance vehicle to wage battle in markets all around the globe, especially with its mid-level 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder.

What is it?
A weapon with which to fight Europe’s best. The ATS is a four-door, five-passenger compact-class sedan that joins the rest of General Motor’s rear-drive brigade. It is Cadillac’s smallest vehicle in a long time, which gives the brand the room to move its bigger CTS upmarket.
