Here: http://caddyinfo.ipbhost.com When the speedometer stops working we have to consider causes. Is it getting power? Is it getting a speed signal? Is there a physical issue keeping it from displaying the speed? Does you truck still shift properly? Is the rest of the dash working properly? Let’s discuss over in the forum! denny harrison 7 minutes ago the needle moves but doesn’t regester the correct speed denny harrison 2 minutes ago shifting seems to be ok and its not a fuse , could it be a missfire of a censer bwnunnally 2 minutes ago Have you changed to different size wheels and tires from stock? That can cause the speedo to read incorrectly. This can be solved by putting in the current wheel and tire size into the vehicle computer using tuning software such as hp tuners. Cadillac Jim
There are also speedometer converters out there that hook on to the VSS and produce a scaled pulse rate to compensate for oversize or undersize tires. -- Click Here for CaddyInfo page on "How To" Read Your OBD Codes-- Click Here for my personal page to download my OBD code list as an Excel file, plus other Cadillac data -- See my CaddyInfo car blogs: 2011 CTS-V, 1997 ETC Yes, I was Jims_97_ETC before I changed cars.
