Bob D
I see no scientific evidence presented to prove that punching the engine, redlining it or blasting away at the transmission is good for the car. On the contrary, it's pretty much a known fact that if nothing else, it wastes the valuable resource of gasoline and oil.just my two cents.... Say Marika...I just came in from the barn after reading your post...Lets see... I've got an old skateboard, a Schwinn, and Hey! a p/c ergonomic scooter...A real resource saver there..Yessirr!! ( uh,Yesmam..) Interested? C'mon..how can you frown on a conservative Cadillac getting 'nailed' every now and then and still get better than 20 mpg? Talk about well delivered tasty cake.. PS, There really is plenty of evidence that WOT is much more beneficial to a motor, than overly conservative driving habits, especially in high performance engines such as the Northstar. The basic premise does apply though, to all internal combustion engines. '93 STS.. opened, dropped, wide...fast.
Greg P.
It sounds pretty normal to me for the car to surge forward just a little bit. Most cars do this just a little but you normally dont notice it.
