KHE
I was passing through the automotive section of Meijers the other day and noticed a shut off spout for anti-freeze containers. It looked to be the same size as the wide mouth spout on the Mobil Drive Clean containers so I bought one. It fits perfectly on the Mobil container. Why does Mobil Drive clean use containers with the large diameter spouts anyway??? They won't fit inside the oil filler neck on the engine and With all other oil, it's so easy to hold a thumb over the spout to keep from spilling oil until the neck of the bottle can be inserted into the oil filler. JasonA
I don't know why, but I like it (even though I don't use the oil). You can pour it faster with the large spout. I don't use a funnel or anything, and I can empty a bottle of Drive Clean in about 5 seconds...versus pouring any other oil slowly so as to avoid splashing when it goes "glug glug glug". I wish my Pennzoil had the large mouth bottles...but apparently I may be in the minority. Jason(2001 STS, White Diamond) "When you turn your car on...does it return the favor?" KHE
I like the small diameter spout of most oils as I can use my thumb to seal the container while I invert it and insert it into the oil filler hole. Mobil's spout won't fit into the filler hole so either a funnel must be used or one must be very careful not to spill oil... I was using a funnel until I found the shut-off spout. 98Concours
I posted this tip a long time ago, so here it is again. I cut the top 4-6 inches off my 2 liter pop bottles, wash them and stack them up in a bag to use as funnels. That way, you don't have to wash them when you're finished. You just toss em in the trash. These funnels have come in handy for other uses also. Jeff Jeff 98 Concours 90 Seville 04 Corvette

I have been using a short RED extension that has a twist turnoff for the small bottles and it works perfect. I have been keeping the paper funnels in my trunk for the road... Once in a while I ask for a paper funnel when I fill up for that purpose. Mike
