The interior was sexy, and the panoramic moonroof was an awesome touch, but the 2.8L turbocharged V6 engine was more of a disappointment than anything. And here we are with the 2012 model, and at first glance, it seems exactly the same. Texas Jim Posted May 20, 2012 Report Share Posted May 20, 2012 I drove a 2011 SRX with the 3.0 for a couple of days last year, while my DTS was having some work done to it. I took it on a 300 mile road trip. The 3.0 in the SRX left a good bit to be desired. It was a pretty anemic engine.... especially for the heavy SRX. The 3.6 should be perfect...
