revolcallidac
Hi, me again...not sure if this is really a problem, but my seat warmers AND coolers on my 07 DTS NHP don't seem to work all the time. When it was really cold, they warmed up fine. Now it's a warm (50's and 60's) I turn them on and nothing happens. I hear clicks when I push the buttons. Last week it was quite warm here, 80's, and I tried the cooler...heard clicks but didn't feel any change. I know what they feel like when they work but this time nothing. Where is the relay or fuse I can check? Its really a minor detail I can live without for a while if needed, but if I can fix it myself I'd rather...only powertrain warranty left til July. Ranger
What you are hearing is the under seat relay. That usually happens when the heating element burns out. Not sure about the heat/cool seat though.
CoupeDTS
I did a tutorial with pictures on here a couple years ago. Ive had to fix a few other breaks since then. You can find the wires for the element and test the ohms. Mine was rated around 5 ohms, if the circuit is open it will show infinite if the cooling doesnt work either you probably have other problems than a break in the heating element wire * 1966 Deville Convertible * 2007 Escalade ESV Black on Black * 1996 Fleetwood Brougham Black on Black V4P -Gone* 1983 Coupe Deville Street/Show Lowrider -Gone* 1970 Calais 4dr Hardtop GONE* 2000 Deville DTS - Silver with Black Leather and SE grille GONE* 1999 Seville STS - Pearl Red GONE
revolcallidac
Thanks for the info, I'll get out there and check it out....ironic though, it's both front seats doing the same things..they work when they want to.
Ranger
If it is both front seats then I'd suspect it is something common to both seats like the switch as opposed to a burnt heating element or whatever they use on that system.
