Bruce Nunnally
There is only one VIN for your Cadillac; that is the Vehicle identification number. For the ICM I think you need 006 10477276 MODULE. Distributor (also Knock Sensor) MODULE,ELEK IGN CONT(W/O COIL)(ACDelco #10477276). Required: 01For: E 4.6Y(LD8),4.6-9(L37) (1993-1993) (1993 - 1993). For: E 4.6Y(LD8),4.6-9(L37) (199. The 10477276 is the GM part number. scott y
Hi.Im new on this site.I have to order an ICM for my 1993 cadillac STS with 4.6.What VIN # do I need to know for ordering?????? Thanks for the help! Hi there and welcome to the site. I too had some ICM issues earlier this month,I found a very good example of one at a boneyard for a reasonable price, maybe you should try that before shelling out the cash. Just a thought. P.S. that was for my 94 STS
danss427
Thanks for the replies.I tried 2 different ones.1 from a 1997 and 1 from a 1995 neither would even fire the engine.I found that I had a '9' in my vin. From what I understand only an ICM from a 1993 with the 9 in the vin will work.It will be here tomorrow.Ill keep you posted! scott y
Well for one thing, you're in the wrong forum, anyhow p083 is crankshaft sensors you may have that problem. Did you purchase a NEW ICM? AC/DELCO? A used ICM may show a p083 code like that as they do fail.
