Replacing passenger electric door lock

I know we talked about this a long time ago. Did a search and didn't find anything so will ask again. Forgive my ailing memory.

My passenger door lock does not work. All of the other doors do and I know that the mechanism is functioning as I took the door apart and observed it moving. There is a missing rubber piece on the acuator arm - prior discussion gave me this info - so the thing needs to be replaced.

I've had my big hands in that small space and figure it must be cheaper to have someone else replace the item. Which leads me to my question:

Who has had this job performed and how much did it cost? Would the dealer be a better place or can a body shop do as good a job for less? (I know that cheap and Caddy are not congruent terms :D )

Thanks

Steve

Talked to the dealer - they said $160 tops to do it. Part is $65, labor $76, and rest misc. shop expenses.

Seems reasonable to me - and then the dealer warranties their work. One thing Caddy is good about - their warranty.
