TylerP
I've done some research on these but I'm not finding which 02 is bank 1,sensor 1 so I can check it. If someone would lead me the right direction here... I've also researched the tranny code and I see it may mean a lot of work. Anyone with any experience on this I'd be happy to hear what you had to do. Thanks all!
Texas Jim
The P0717 means computer is getting "NO SIGNAL" from the sensor. I would first be checking the wiring for an unplugged wire or a damaged or broken wire.
JimD
Bank 1 sensor 1 is in the RH (firewall side) exhaust manifold at the point where cylinders 1, 3, 5, & 7 exhaust plumbing is merged into one collector pipe. Hands down, the most difficult O2 sensor to access. P0717 - Input Speed Sensor Circuit Low Input This does not necessarily mean powertrain removal IF you are willing to slowly and carefully lower the cradle far enough to allow access to the transmission side panel. It can be done. And there are several other items that "should be" replaced while you are in there. In all cases, the wire harnesses should be triple checked for damage before resorting to componenet replacement. Jim Drive your car. Use your cell phone. CHOOSE ONE ! TylerP
Oh,I'll definitely be checking the wiring first. I'm hoping for a broken wire or something someone left unplugged. I think I may be well off to get a service manual for this thing. Anything anyone can post about this tranny issue is very much appreciated. I'll fix it when it warms up some if I have to replace that sensor.
