Interior Lights ????

i have 93 sts and was wondering if interior lights should come on when i unlock car with remote, they work when you open any door.

is there a control for this that is not working????

can anyone help?

Yes, the lights should come on when you use the remote to unlock the car.

The lights come on day or night.

Attached is the service manual page showing the location of the RAP/illuminated Entry Module (RAPIE).

Check the fuses (all of them) in the left side of the trunk trunk. This is where the RAPIE gets its power supply.

Then try unplugging the module and replugging it. Sometimes a fresh connection will help.

The lights come on day or night.

I just double checked. The interior lights did not come on when I openned the car with remote. But they do come on when it is dark. :huh:

How would you tell if they were coming on during the day? I would never be able to tell lol!

Hi all,

my interior lights are different again...If you unlock the doors within some minutes after locking them, the interior lights will come on automatically. After, say, half an hour the lights won't come on by unlocking, but will illuminate by opening the door.

They also come on when I open the trunk any time.

Didn't check whether daylight has an influence or not.
