bguy5151
I have a 2005 srx 3.6, recently check engine light has appeared scanned system and found p0430 is responsible, p0420 is a pending code. Every body states that this is a cat problem and just relace them. I know by replacing cats a lot of problems can be solved , just dont think it is the probleem in this case. i see fuel trim numbers not consistant on bank 2, before i invest in cats iam thinking oxygen sensor upstream, has anybody had similar situation engine only has 60k runs goood except for engine light
Texas Jim
P0420 - Catalyst System Low Efficiency P0430 - Catalyst System Low Efficiency Bank 2 If it does turn out to be a CAT problem... it may still be under warranty... cats are part of the emission system and have a much longer warrant than the rest of the car. cdgrinci
I believe it's 8 year or 80000 miles on the 'cats'; worth a shot to check with your Cadillac dealer first. Logan
Technically, with OBDII it is 2 years/24k on all the sensors etc and 8 years/80k on the Cat and PCM. Some will still repair alot of the sensors under the 3/36.
