I have a 91 STS and carry the old belt for emergency on the road, but seeing discussion about the Northstars doing this, I thought it would be smart to have the shorter belt for an emergency failure of the compressor on the road. Thanks, Bob B Interesting thought, its a good idea. I am sittng here thinking and I don't recall anyone ever bypassing it or having the need to bypass the compressor on a 4.9. It would make sense to replace it with a shorter one since I do not use AC anymore. Anybody with such an experience?
