thats interesting.

You are saying that the needle on the tachometer is below the pin at zero?

Was the cluster removed?

May have to disassemble custer and return the needle to the correct position. Have no idea how this could have happened other than it going completely around in a circle which on that cluster doesnt seem possible.

Check for codes and post any that you have,

Is the position the same whether the key is on or off? Does it move at all?

My trans am was like that when I brought it home, someone had worked on it and put it back together incorrectly. Not so hard to fix, just had to remove the panel and put it back. On mine the needle was squashed under the plastic cover behind the rest stop for the needle. After loosening the clear lens it moved easily.
