It's accessible from under the hood on the driver's side of the engine/transmission. Reinstall it snugly after a careful inspection. If it works, buy a lottery ticket. Otherwise, you will need to replace BOTH shift solenoids, "A" and "B," in the transmission. The solenoids themselves are not too expensive, so it's just good practice to replace both even though only one is bad. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved. - Ludwig von Mises

mgv8
I changed the solenoids and cleared the codes. One of the solenoids was slightly boken where the retainer clip goes. The transmissom shifts normally the after about 10 seconds in drive or overdrive it goes back into free wheeling and 2nd gear and the check engine light goes back on. rockfangd
weird. I suggest pulling codes again and seeing what changed. I have seen shift solenoids be broken before. It seems the plastic breaks where it is secured near the valve body. When you installed the new ones did you make sure they were clipped in securely and pluggind completely? mgv8
I did put the install the support strap and I did clean the 20 pin connector and all of the fueses in the 3 fuse blocks under the hood. If i read the codes from the dash the check engine light goes off and the car shifts properly. The I drive it for a few miles and the check engine light goes back on and tranny goes back to 2nd gear/neutral. the ony currant codes that come up now are T027 and S030. P076 P094 I052 S061 code are still in history and i can't clear them.
