My 05 deville got me the blues I was driving one day went to the store when I left I noticed that I had no first gear but had all others so went home to pull any codes none so I let it sit over night and the next day it was perfect again first, second, and so one. The car sitting level, car running in park warmed up then check the level. Texas Jim Posted August 25, 2011 Report Share Posted August 25, 2011 if it loses communication with the ABS... or if any other suspension code is set... ithe transmission will default to 2nd gear starts.
