ted tcb
My two car garage will be filled with a 71 Cutlass Supreme convertible and my wife's car .... the 97 STS is in for a long, wind blown winter exposed in the driveway. Would you change to 5W30 oil, and add a lucas oil treatment to help drystarts? I really don't use much oil now, and I'm leary of screwing up a good thing .... but it gets brutally cold up in Orillia, On. 1989 FWD Fleetwood, Silver 1995 STS Crimson Pearl on Black leather 1997 STS Diamond White 1999 STS Crimson Pearl 2001 STS Silver 2003 STS, Crimson Pearl

Cupillac
GM does routine winter testing in Kapuskasing, Ontario all winter. It gets REALLY cold up there. Normal engine oil is all that is used and the engines always look fine inside after several winters of that accelerated testing. Yeah my best friends father works up in Kapuskasing and in Oshawa testing vehicles, some pretty neat tests they put the vehicles through.
