tjtjwdad
bbobynski Posted on Jan 9 2005, 08:01 PM Whatever the damage....just consider the cost of ONE night in the intensive care unit of the hospital compared to the cost of a replacement car. Good point! Jim

STYES
The subject of an elderly driver is a touchy one. My neighboor, who was 94 when he passed, still drove, and did so at what I would call a comfortable level considering I was a passenger of his. All you need to get a license these days is a face, and I have a problem with that. We all know that experience is vital in the driving skills of an individual, and the elderly have that. There should be testing yearly for ALL motorists, regardless of age. Most 16 year olds should not have the right to drive, and some elderly folks shouldn't either. It depends on the individual. Many middle aged folks shouldn't drive given their skills! How many SUV owners do you know that can't park that behemoth! We should all be made to exibit the skill to safely drive what we own, on a yearly basis, and should be rewarded or limited on our abilities alone!
