JimD
If this has been mentioned before, I missed it or forgot it. The XTS will be built in Oshawa, Ontario, at GM Canada's modern "flexible" facility that also builds the Camaro plus other Chevrolet badges plus several Buick models. Would this be the first time domestic market Cadillac passenger cars have been assembled in another country?? Quote Jim Drive your car. Use your cell phone. CHOOSE ONE ! Bruce Nunnally
Would that be the XTS? Oshawa does a great job on the related platform/cars so I think it is a good move. The SRX comes (quietly) from the high tech plant in Mexico. Escalades come from Arlington, although some used to come from Mexico also. If the ATS sells as many as it SHOULD, LGR will be full capacity. JimD
A senior moment, Bruce. Thanks for the timely correction; I was able to duck under the "edit" window and change the post content and title. And I sure did not know about the SRX. Global economy indeed. Bruce Nunnally
A Cadillac owner in Jordan asked me if I would be sad to own an SLS made in China (like his brother does), but I trust the Cadillac production processes that every car that wears the wreath & crest deserves to do so. But then, I tend to like individual models for the features they do have, and not rail that they are not something else.
