K2K
Take it in, if you want the safest solution. If it's an issue with some connection or the parts, getting into that area of the dash is a complicated situation. If it's a computer thing, you can probably do it, but it is still complicated. Bob*97 SLS
I had this happen yrs ago to an 81 Grand Prix. It was disconnected at the dash unit. Pontiac fixed it as the car was new. I remember the tech saying he had to reach under the dash and snap it back in?? Hope this helps.
Cadillac Jim
If this is an STS, it's odometer is in the module. If the odometer reading is on the dash, and isn't increasing, then the module is getting zero speed from the speed sensor -- which is what the speedometer is saying. The speed sensor or its cable to the module is bad. -- Click Here for CaddyInfo page on "How To" Read Your OBD Codes-- Click Here for my personal page to download my OBD code list as an Excel file, plus other Cadillac data -- See my CaddyInfo car blogs: 2011 CTS-V, 1997 ETC Yes, I was Jims_97_ETC before I changed cars.
